That's what I heard. My friend Laurion said they didn't really give a lot of the "mystery" that is in the story and left out a lot of stuff from the book that makes the book so good. I'd love to read that book, but I need to buy it still. They did the same with the Lord of the Rings books as well. I read that after having seen the first two movies and I couldn't believe the things that had been changed

My favorite book was "Runner", by Carl Deuker. The book was released last summer. It's about this poor kid, who lives in Seattle, and him and his father live alone on a boat. He finds a way of making a lot money, by transporting mysterious packages to places, without opening them. He believes he may be transporting drugs, but finds out that it's bombs for a terrorist attack.
It's an amazing book, by an amazing author. I don't like to read much, but this is my favorite author. Carl Deuker usually writes about sports, but he took a risk with this one, and it payed off. I read this book in about three nights, with little sleep. I have talked to Carl, via e-mail, and he seems like a very bright guy.

wow favourite book, that is so hard to pinpoint i love all of them books i have read, mainly The Pact, My Sister's Keeper, Salem Falls, Picture Perfect, Plain Truth and Second Glance By Jodi Picoult and then the whole Anita Blake Series By Laurell K Hamilton, man i love those to two authors and all their writings.
With the books turning into films, i'm yet to see a movie that is actually up to the standards of the book, most of the time i am disappointed with the movie, for example, i loove The Sisterhood of Traveling Pants, but the plot change in the movie made me angry, as the whole love-hate relationship between Lena and Kostas wasn't like the book and the grandparents loved Kostas in the book, Lena didn't like him so i was disappointed in that sense. Also some of the Harry potter movies (also some of my fave books lol) left out some of my favourite moments which was a little sad but they're ok so yeah.

Oh I hate how that happens. It's like with Lord of the Rings. I read the books in 4 days after watching The Two Towers and I was so shocked to see what had been left out of the movie and I was even more shocked to see what they added. I know in the movies it was important to add the whole Arwen/Aragorn stuff, but it wasn't even in the books. You find that back in the Appenixes with a brief mention made that Aragorn and Lorld Elrond had come to the understanding that Aragorn couldn't marry Arwen until he claimed his place as the king. That was about it. And then, they killed Haldir off at the Helm's Deep battle scene in the movie, but in the book, they never went to Helm's Deep. I've also heard that Eragon is like that. i want to see the movie, but I haven't read the book yet. I think I'll watch the movie first and then decide if I want to watch the movie. My favorite books are by Sherrilyn Kenyon. I love her Dark Hunter series, but Simi and I both love 'vampire' type stories
