I taught my daughter well
Sorry I haven't been on this week, but I was in the hospital. I left for the hospital Saturday morning and got out yesterday afternoon. Several things were wrong. First, I had a horrible kidney infection! The highest my white blood cell count should be in a urine test is 12-13. I had over 20,000! Whoa! Anyway, they also decided to make sure I wasn't having a problem with the kidney stone in my left kidney. Good thing that they did! A kidney stone was obstructing my left kidney. The right one was still putting out fluid, but the left kidney was completely blocked by the stone. It was stuck in the urthrea (sp?) Anyway, they tried to see if it would come out on its own, but sadly, it was lodged in there well. I have a larger stone in my kidney that is completely infected, but this piece that obstructed my kidney, had broken off of the huge one and was causing loads of problems, including serious pain! Anyway, they did surgery Wednesday, went up the urthrea, grabbed hold of the stone and yanked it out. Nice to have the kidney working again, but DAMN! I had serious pain afterwards. The kidney quit hurting for the most part, but imagine sticking a tool up in areas where they don't belong to pull out a stone that is obviously large enough to block output. Now imagine said tool pulling out said stone.... PAIN!
Anyway, I got to come home yesterday. I have to go back to the uroliogist in June because we still have to finish removing the large stone but I have to finish recovering from surgery plus the infection. Once the infection is gone, they're going to use a soundwave type of thing to break up the large one. Let's hope it works so I can quit dealing with it, especially since I have another matter I have to worry about.
Docs also CT scanned my adrenale gland when they did my kidney and it is enlarged way too much! Doc says I need to get it tended to ASAP. He said it can mean Cancer, but hope that it's benign. Then, since he wouldn't be involved in that, he left my room. Can you imagine a doctor dropping the big "C" word on you and then walking out of the room? I think he needs to learn better bedside manners!
Anywhoo...we should see a doctor about that next week, so I'll keep you updated as I can
