Site News:
- Once again, there have been some changes to staff. Dakota had to step down, so Elizabeth is now our Head Gmod under the title "Sanity is Boring". Rory is the Greeeter, Cloud our Graphic Dude. However, Blaze has left us, so I combined our Punisher mod with the Head Gmod. I am still looking for somebody to be our Article Writer. I you're interested, PM me.
- During our Summer Lull, our RP's have died. However, there is a suggestion for a new one in the works. Please take a few minutes to read it and offer opinions. Thanks.
- Since our Short Story Competition is slow to get stories, Elizabeth and I talked about doing a FanFiction contest instead. Here is the link:
Fanfiction contest I hope to see some entries soon - I have moved the "Bookstore" into its own board. Feel free to discuss any books there, and we have a sub-board for Book Reviews
- Should you have a suggestion for something new to the site, post it in the Suggestions Board. It will be reviewed and if it is approved, you will receive 25 huggles. NOTE: Remember, once you have 500 huggles in your profile, you will earn a special siggy pic!

Member Interview:
The All Powerful Admin: Lannorui
1 Do you like chocolate?
Answer: I am a serious chocoholic! I adore chocolate, but mostly milk chocolate. I can tolerate dark chocolate a bit, but I really don’t like white chocolate.
2 What are your favorite TV shows?
Answer: While I had cable, my favorite shows were The Big Cat Diaries, CSI (all 3)
3 What was the last movie you saw in the theater? Was it good?
Answer: You’re going to laugh, because I haven’t been to a movie in quite a while. The last movie I saw in theatre…seriously, you’re going to laugh…was Lord of the Rings: Return of the King. It was definitely good! I adored the LoTR series!
4 What is your favorite cartoon to watch?
Answer: Cartoon? Hmmm….I do have an affinity for Scooby Doo, but not so much that I MUST have it. In the way of Animes, I’ve always liked Inuyasha, but Ceres was one of my favs.
5 What is your favorite food?
Answer: Whatever doesn’t eat me first. *laughs* Seriously, I love pizza and Chinese food. Had that just last night as a matter of fact.
6 What was your main goal as a child?
Answer: To survive. Beyond that, just to be the best I could. I knew when I had children I would love them to pieces, never knock them down so that they couldn’t stand on their own two feet. I never wanted them to live the life I had. Otherwise, again, just to survive from day to day. Once I reached adulthood, I always wanted to write, but it had been ingrained in my head that writing was useless and wouldn’t pay the bills. Now I don’t give a damn what they all said, I’m following my heart.
If I could give just one piece of advice to my kids, it would be to follow your heart. Don’t let anybody ever tell you that something isn’t at least worth trying. Take a chance on your hopes and dreams. Believe in yourself, because I will always believe in you as well.
When Simi told me that she wanted to write Erotica, I nearly choked, but I refused to dash her dreams because it wasn’t my preference at the time. Our hopes and dreams make us who we are and not only by following them, but having the support of someone who loves you and will encourage you to follow them, gives you wings and allows you to take flight to become whom you are meant to be.
Odd how now, I have even started to write Erotica. What was once a choking situation, has now become something I enjoy. Life changes, and so must we, but during all that change, make sure you always know who you are, and hold true to yourself.
7 What is you favorite book?
Answer: Recently, I discovered an Erotica author that I’ve fallen in love with her writing. Her name is Joey W Hill and I adore her Vampire Queen Series as well as her Mermaid series. So as of this moment, The Vampire Queen’s Servant, The Mark of the Vampire Queen, and A Witch’s Beauty are my favs . I’m working to purchase some of her other stories I haven’t read yet.
8 What is you favorite color?
Answer: Blue is my all time favorite color, running in a close second though would be black
9 What is your favorite drink?
Answer: Yummm… Diet Coke!
10 What is your favorite type of weather? Or season?
Answer: Winter, definitely winter. The colder the better. I hate the heat, which naturally means I despise summer!
11 Why did you start the site?
Answer: I had created a site called Movies Etc and met a man there named Julian. We shared a bit of our poetry etc and got to talking about starting a site together. Eventually, I gave into the need for it since I love to write. He did join for a bit, but when he couldn’t remain active, he left. I’m actually glad. It’s nice to say I created this and have done a good job with it!
12 Did you expect it to last long or kick off?
Answer: I did expect it to kick off, but last long? I wasn’t sure. I had tried several sites that started great, but within months was completely dead. We’ve had our temporary lulls around here, as most sites do, but for the most part, we have stayed active.
13 Are you happy with the sites current status?
Answer: I am. I am always seeking new ways to keep it interesting, find new topics for members so they don’t get bored with the old stuff. I’m pleased with the way our members respond to the changes and I think it is just one of the things that keeps them coming back. Another is naturally the insanity on the site. I have a blast with everybody, from the ones who sit back and get crazy with me, to the ones who do no more than post here and there with some of their writing and friendly greetings. I adore all of it!
14 What is something you want the members to know?
Answer: I would like the members to know that I appreciate all they do for our site. I love sitting back and having fun with them, having somebody to chat about everyday life, and share our love of writing and reading. And don’t forget, I am always open to new suggestions and absolutely love the chance to hear their opinions about what we can do to improve our site.
15 How did you first come up with the idea for your book series Dragon Kiss?
Answer: Would you believe me if I told you it was a dream? I kept having the dream about the story, so I finally set aside everything else I was working on and started it. I haven’t regretted it, except maybe the umpteenth time of rewriting ;D
16 Did you think when you first began that the story would evolve so much?
Answer: No, actually, I didn’t. When I wrote the very first story, it was supposed to be a stand alone book. However, I had a friend point out to me when I finished the first one, that it would make an excellent series. I re-evaluated it and discovered she was right. So I sat down and started working on it as a series. As I did, things changed and evolved so much, I had to start again. Then as I moved further into the series, I had to start again due to more changes. It was a learning experience for sure, one I’m glad I’ve been through, and am happy to say that I have finally captured the heart of my dragons in each of the stories, holding true to what I see them as
17 Are you proud of your work?
Answer: Oh most definitely. One wouldn’t spend almost 6 years working so in depth with a series like this and not have a sense of pride in the accomplishment. My dragon series is my baby, the one I’ve nurtured for years, shaping and shifting, molding it as it took on a life of its own. My dragons now almost seem real to me. Sometimes I think I should be able to just head to the Ruling Territory and find all my buddies waiting for me there. Lame? Maybe, but it is truly how much of a personal relationship I’ve built with my characters, learning them inside out, bringing them to life.
18 If you had the chance to do something other than write stories would you take it?
Answer: As a choice thing? Definitely not. I adore writing. I need to write. It is a stress reliever for me for one, but I always have this need to create, to build these worlds and stories of creatures and people that I’ve imagined. Do dragons really exist? In my heart they do. Do vampyres? Please, let’s not go there unless there is one who has volunteered to nibble on my neck. Writing is my way to free my natural creative nature and if I ever lost the ability to write, I would sink fast, floundering around on the shore, with nowhere left to go.
When I write, I can go to Isola Del Drago and visit my dragons. I can head to the Ruling Territory and help my dragons fight their enemies, I can share the laughter of a bunch of rambunctious vampyre warriors, fly through space to save the Stars of Kymera, rescue a captive on Nestari, and hope in my dreams for things I can’t hope for in real life anymore.
Writing is who I am. It isn’t just what I do, it is a part of me, in my heart, in my head, a real part of my soul. I’ll probably even continue once I’m dead and in my grave. I’ll sit in heaven with the angels and write them stories to entertain them. At least, I can dream that
