Elvira's heart constricted as his words sank in. She bit at her lower lip as she stared at the rose, and then sighing she walked into the Inn. As she walked Elvira reviewed everything she'd done in her life and realized that she had been very stupid indeed. Lycanthra was right of course, it wasn't the power itself, but what you did with it and so far Elvira had misused it in every way possible. She had made herself believe her gift was useless and had sat at home more or less living the life of a vegetable. She shook her head, feeling the beginnings of a migraine and still holding tightly to the rose she found Lycanthra and went up to him. She tried at a grin but that only made her headache worse so instead she just sat down in a chair beside him and fiddled with the rose, at a loss once again as to what they should do.
"Sorry Ly, I get it now, I do." This time she managed a slight smile, "But that still doesn't make this adventure any more interesting."
She huffed up at Elizabeth in a voice low enough that Lycanthra hopefully couldn't hear. "What's up with you today, can't you make anything interesting happen on your own?" Elizabeth gave a mental shrug, "Not really, I suppose I could make bandits burst in and try to kill everyone, but I don't really feel like it just yet." Elvira sighed inwardly, sure that her creator was giving her gray hairs.

Lycanthra pushed his untouched drink over to her and smiled weakly, his eyes fading from an angry red to a more apoligetic shade of blue, "I'm sorry that I got so worked up about it," he laughed a bit, "It's a touchy subject for me." he paused a bit, "hey, you want some food?"

Elvira took a sip of the drink and nodded. "Sure, food would be good." She tapped the rose against her chin a few times before looking back up at Lycanthra. "Why is it a touchy subject for you?"

"It just ticks me off when people do that to themselves..." Lycanthra said, without turning around, "I don't know why," he shrugged, hoping that she'd buy it, and continued to the bar stand to order some food.

Elvira sighed, she didn't want to push the subject, she decided. If he wanted to talk about it he'd bring it up himself. Elvira stared vacantly at the table they were sitting at, her migraine amplified by the raucous laughter a table over. She frowned and closed her eyes, trying to block out the noise. A moment later she sighed and shifted, fidgeting. A few moments after that she cracked open one eye to look down at her rose, it was beginning to wilt so she let a trickle of power flow from her fingers to the petals and smiled at her handy work. The flower looked good as new.

Lycanthra took his time in getting the food, he wasn't really in a hurry to return to the table. He glanced around the Inn, it was a pleasant place, "How much for a room?" He asked the Inn-keeper,
"Ten pieces," the burly looking man replied without turning around, "Here's your food," he grumbled as he handed Lycanthra the plate, "Enjoy."
Lycanthra walked slowley back to the table and sat the plate down in front of Elvira, taking his seat as he did.

Elvira glanced down at the food and then up at Lycanthra and smiled. "Thanks," she picked at it for a moment, then took a small bite, chewed and swallowed. "So I've been thinking, I can't really go home now. The way I've been living just doesn't feel right to me anymore." She stopped for a moment and looked at Lycanthra, meeting his eye's, " I've decided that I want to travel, but I'm lost as to where I should start. I was wondering if you knew of any interesting places I could visit after this little adventure is over."

Lycanthra shrugged, "I don't really pay attention to the names of the places I travel, I just kind of find them," He took a sip of his drink, "But yeah, that's great, traveling is fun..."

((So mister artistic and imaginative, what can we do to shake this sucker up?))
Elvira nodded in agreement, grateful that he seemed to like her idea. She took another bite and then turned back to him. It was growing dark outside and she wondered wether or not the Inn was very expensive. She pulled out her money bag and began counting. "Do you happen to know how much a room is?" She asked him, without looking up.

Lycanthra pulled ten coins from his pocket and laid them on the table infront of her, "That much," he said, getting up and walking to the door, before exiting, he turned back to Elvira, "Goodnight," he called and walked out of the door. Jumping onto a nearby rooftop, overlooking the Inn, he sat with his back against a wall and gazed at the night sky before falling into a light sleep.

Althea blinked in surprise. For a moment she could only stare dumbly at the small pile of coins Lycanthra had set in front of her. Then she felt her lips curve up in a smile and her eyes soften. She took the money up to the Inn keeper and requested a room. When she had settled down on her bed, the window open to let in night sounds, she closed her eyes and reached out tendrils of her mind to the tree's all around the nearest buildings. Using a collection of tree's she located Lycanthra and found him on a rooftop. With a mischeivous grin she made leaves from a tree just above him fall and settle into the words "Thank you Ly." on the rooftop beside him before she drifted into a fitful sleep.

((I don't know, I could do alot, What are YOU going to do?))
Lycanthra awoke before sunrise and stretched. He glanced at his hand, and noticed the note that only Elvira could have left him. He laughed a bit, and smiled, "Youre very welcome," he mumbled to himself as he stood up. He looked towards the forests, and leaped high into the air, landing as a black wolf, he bound from rooftop to rooftop and into the forest.

((Ok, my idea is that a demon has escaped Hell by accident and is so powerful that just walking around the forest his power is leaking like poison into the very roots of the tree's.))
Elvira squinted slightly as the suns light finally reached her on the bed. Sitting up, she stretched and then jumped out of the bed to throw on her clothes. She pulled back the wild mess of her hair and tied it in a knot at the back of her neck, grabbed her bags and went to the window. Her eyes immediatley found the rooftop that Lycanthra had slept on and she reached out with her power to locate him. Elvira's eyes widened when she felt his presence as that of a wolf's and then she smiled and jumped out her window to land on the roof. Hitching her bags on tighter she jumped from roof to roof until she reached the forest, and then stopped at the edge of the trees.
Elvira took a cautious step into the forest and immediately felt a terrible power leaking between the foliage. She stumbled backwards again, amazed and a little disoriented at the reek of evil that was poisoning the forest. She shook her head to clear it and stepped back into the tree's, determined to figure out what was killing her plants.
Elvira pushed farther into the forest, her migraine was growing unbearable now and she realized that this must have been the true reason for it. Last night it had been the creature poisoning the forest that had been hurting her head. She had been feeling her plants pain. She stumbled slightly, her stomach heaving and head pounding. Elvira began to see stars and her world was going black, the stench of decaying flesh hit her hard and she realized grimly that the demon was not far away. When she stumbled a second time Elvira stayed on the ground, digging her hands into the soil she sent out her soul to search the forest for Lycanthra. She needed his help, the demon was too strong and the pain of the forest was making it hard for Elvira to think. A pang of horror hit her as she realized that by connecting her soul to the forest to locate Lycanthra so many times as she had Elvira had accidentally bound herself to the forest so tightly that no matter where she went when the forest died so would she. She cursed herself for her stupidity, gritting her teeth in anger. This was all her fault, now she would have to fight the demon and if she lost her penalty was death. She bit down on her lip till it bled, welcoming the wave of pain that swept away the sick feeling that was trying to crush her. Elvira sent out her message on the wind, a picture of were she was and a plea for help, hoping that Lycanthra would be able to sense it.

Lycanthra looked up from his breakfast, a drop or two of blood dripping down from his muzzle, a mentally overwhelming image of Elvira entered his thoughts. She was in trouble. He shook his head to clear his mind and lept into the air, falling into a dead sprint as he landed. He was by her side, completly shifted back into elven form. He grabbed her arm and helped her, wiping the blood from her lip, his eyes a concered teal, "What do you need me to do?" he asked, supporting her on his shoulder.

((Let's try to draw out the battle, because honestly I can't think of anything else we can do. Lol, unless you've got a better idea...))
Elvira blinked away the gray haze covering her eyes and reached out with her power. "The demon, he's powerful Ly, and he's killing the tree's." She shook her head, " I don't know why, but it doesn't matter, we have to stop him."
Elvira sucked in a sharp breath and leaned a little bit away from Lycanthra, not wanting to put all her weight on him, but she held tightly to his arm as she took a careful step forward. She wobbled slightly but found that the pain and nausea was subsiding. Elvira pointed north, to the heart of the forest, "he's this way," she muttered. Drawing on all the power left in the forest around her, Elvira, still holding tightly to Lycanthra's arm began to make her way through the trees.
